Wisdom is the way of pleasantness, and as you seek God for it, He will bring to pass those hidden desires of your heart.  So be wise and seek wisdom above all!

For far too many of us Christians, our supplications to God are usually filled with requests for material items and or for our grievous circumstances to be changed.  We fast and pray earnestly for healing, finances, favor and open doors, but how many of us seek God for His wisdom?

In an age where the brand of your car, the size of your home and the number of zeros in your bank account exemplify one’s socioeconomic status, even as Christians we can get consumed with trying to obtain these societal deemed achievements.  I will pause here to say, there is nothing wrong with desiring to have a nice car, a beautiful home and increased finances.   I go even further to say that it is God’s desire for us to have them; however only seeking God for such tangible items, leads the Christian to be remiss in seeking God for something much greater, the intangibles—-wisdom, knowledge and spiritual understanding!

Solomon, noted as the wisest man in the Bible, sought God for His wisdom rather than riches, but still received riches that he did not even petition of God.  He is exemplar in demonstrating to Christians what it means to truly seek God for the intangible gifts and demonstrates how God will reward you with all you desire and more.   “But seek ye first the kingdom of God and all His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you” (KJV Matthew 6:33).
